We take pride in raising New Zealand and commercial Kikos. For us, Kikos are the obvious choice when it comes to raising goats in Canada. Our goats live outside year-round with access to shelter. Kikos can easily handle the harsh Canadian winter and kid out in unpredictable spring weather.
They are low-maintenance goats requiring only yearly trims, and infrequent worming due to their parasite resistance. Our does handle multiple kid births without assistance and raise their kids to impressive 90-day weights. Due to the lack of Kiko genetics in Canada, we have started experimenting with adding Savanna and Spanish goat genetics into our herd. So far they have proven themselves well and can keep up with our Kikos in terms of performance.
We are proud to say our herd is CAE, CL, and Johne's negative! We take our biosecurity seriously and only buy from farms that do the same.
Custard came to us from Crazy Creek Ranch after they closed their doors. He has had his first season with us, 2022, and will be a primary herd sire for 2023 kids.
